My approach to family photography is all about capturing real, unposed moments.
When I photograph families, my focus is on capturing the real moments that make your family unique.
I document your lives as a family now in whatever form it comes: from the perfect princess dress to unbrushed hair and paint splattered clothes, games, reading books, walks and cuddles.
Whether you want to capture your family at home together or prefer to get outside for those memories, I will help capture the moments so that you can treasure them.

Capturing your normal, everyday life...beautifully.
For those who want to capture everything of family life: from games in the living room, snacks snuggles in bed, adventures in the garden or a trip to the park. I'll come and hang out with you and document you as a family now capturing those real moments completely unscripted and undirected. Trust me, the normal, everyday is far more beautiful than you realise.

How would you describe your style & approach?
The 'perfec't photo isn’t one of you all looking at the camera with forced smiles, it’s in a tangle of arms and giggles; in the joyful messiness of real life and love. I combine family documentary, and classic portraiture to tell the story of who you all are - right now - using natural backgrounds and light.
To put you at ease and document your family in the most honest way, I let my sessions flow organically - always being led by the baby or children.
Occasionally, I’ll give some gentle direction to make sure everyone is in the best light and fully at ease, but I’ll also give space to let you be yourselves in order to capture spontaneous and meaningful memories as they unfold. And this is were I find the magic.
The shoot won't have to be hard work. All you have to do is show-up, be present, playful and love on your family. Embrace the chaos of life with small humans and leave the rest to me.
Where will the photo shoot take place?
The shoot will take place in your home or outside, somewhere you enjoy spending time as a family and truly feel comfortable.
I can photograph your family in your local park, out in the countryside, by the river or in the woods. For older babies and children, we can split our time between your home and the outdoors. We'll have a good chat before the shoot to work out the perfect location for your family.
What if we are a camera-shy family?
Please don't worry if you, your partner or children are camera shy or find the idea of it a little daunting. It is completely normal. I will spend some time getting you know you all before the camera comes out and it will feel more like having a playdate with a friend. You don't have to look at the camera if you don't want to. I will capture the natural moments as they happen, so all you have to do it focus on having fun with your family.
What if our home isn't picture perfect?
If your home doesn't look like it belongs in the pages of an interiors magazine then please do not let it put you off having an in-home photo shoot. I will craft the story of your family. Your home is your safe space and the very place the foundations of your children's lives so it is the perfect setting for your family photo shoot.
